Fix: "Sorry, we couldn't find your file"
This error means your app or OS couldn't locate the file at the path it expected β either the file moved, was renamed, or a cloud sync (OneDrive, Dropbox, Google Drive) hasn't finished downloading it locally yet. It has nothing to do with the file being corrupted; the file just isn't where the program is looking.

About .docx to PDF conversion
How do I find where my .docx file actually is?
Open File Explorer (Windows) or Finder (Mac) and search for the filename directly. If it lives in a cloud folder like OneDrive or Google Drive, right-click it and choose 'Make available offline' or 'Download' β the file may exist in the cloud but not yet be written to your local disk, which is what causes this error.
Once I find the file, how do I convert it to PDF?
Go to OpenAny.io, drag your .docx file onto the page, and select PDF as the output format. The conversion is free, needs no account, and the file is deleted from the server within 60 seconds. You get a standard PDF that preserves your document's layout and fonts.
What if the file was deleted or I can never locate it?
Check your Recycle Bin (Windows) or Trash (Mac) first. If it was in OneDrive, SharePoint, or Google Drive, look in the cloud service's own trash β these retain deleted files for 30 to 90 days depending on the service. If Word created a recent autosave, open Word and go to File > Info > Manage Document > Recover Unsaved Documents.
